Fonts Reloaded

A few days ago I posted about fonts.    I explained how fonts can change the look, feel and tone of your info product. So I want to talk about fonts once again.  Hopefully you took a look at some of the sites I mentioned and fell in love with the thousands and thousands of fonts available for your use.

Today I want to show you some examples of how simple it is to make your pages look “fancy” (for lack of a better word). You don’t need to hire a graphic designer or desktop publisher to spice your pages up.  Just getting a little creative with your font size and placement can make a difference in how your page looks.   As a matter of fact, in the examples below, I used MS Word 2003.  I didn’t use any color at all. All text is either black or white or a shade of grey; there were no images used in creating these.  The second sentence of each example shows the font that I used.  For the most part, I used fonts that you already have on your computer. The others are easily found on the web, probably for free.  These aren’t extraordinary examples, but it will at least show you that you can make a classic, modern or trendy look without being a design expert.

Font Examples for a Page

So what do you think?   By the way, did you download and play with three new fonts?
