No Excuse, Everyone Knows Something

If I asked you what your favorite hobby is, do you think you think you can create an information product about it?

Do you love to shop for shoes? How about these product titles?

  • Find the Best Shoe Bargains Online Ebook
  • Do Your Shoes Fit Properly Video Guide
  • Dress Your Feet For Success Cheatsheet for Business Women
  • Ouch My Feet Hurt! An Audio Experience for Soothing Your Feet (actually, this would be really cool – a set of MP3s with soothing music and you describe massage techniques)

Do you love to cook and eat rice?  Try these titles:

  • 10 Amazing Rice Dishes You Can Cook in Your Rice Pot Video Series
  • The Lazy Man’s Guide to 10 Minute Rice Dishes Ebook
  • Rice Doesn’t Have to Be White! Downloadable Rice Encyclopedia of the Different Varieties of Rice
  • I Can’t Cook Rice! Stey-by-Step Flowchart of Rice Preparation

The point is, everyone knows how to do something or does something so much that they have a technique perfected. More than likely you’re not the only one doing it. So why not share that knowledge and information with others?

Remember that all topics aren’t suited for ebook format. Think outside of creating your product as an ebook – think about what you can capture in video or audio as well. That will help you to come up with more ideas for your favorite pastime.

Brilliant, Gwen, and so very true. A great incentive for the new IMer to get started. We do indeed all know something, and if anyone feels they can’t get it down on paper there are others who can take on that task for them for notes or recordings!

    Enjoy the journey.

    Great post Gwen

So many of us forget what information we may have stored inside us.

Or we think “No one will want to know that” or “That’s easy to do, why would anyone buy an e-book to show them how to do it?”.

When something is easy for us to do, we forget that other people may be a total newbie.

    Hi Heather,

You are so right, everyone doesn’t know everything! We just have to think outside our own little box to come up with new ideas and ways we can help others.

    Thanks for visiting,

    Hi Mandy,

You are so right. There are people waiting to write for you and to create videos for you and to do voice overs. It’s just a matter of not putting stuff off because you think you can’t do the technical parts, its about getting knowledge out of your head and sharing with others!

    Thanks for visiting,
    Gwen
