We’re In the Home Stretch!

I really can’t believe its been almost 30 days since I started Connie Ragen Green’s 30-Day Blogging Challenge (#blog30 on Twitter). It’s really amazing how time passes right before your eyes. It feels like its still mid-April when the challenge started.

The reason for writing so many posts wasn’t just to have a lot of “stuff” in our blogs. The benefits aren’t always what is seen in print on the screen.  We were blogging to get used to writing.  We were blogging to find our voice.  We were blogging to increase traffic.   We can also find  benefits in looking at what we now have confidence in ourselves to be able to do (like committing to write this much stuff!). We now have content “in the bank” that we can pull out at a moment’s notice if needed (free reports for an opt-in list anyone?). We now have knowledge from others that plugged along with us as well. We just have to look at the bigger picture and not just the number of post counts or the number of comments.

But on the other hand… we DO have a lot of posts don’t we :)    So why don’t we  reward ourselves and repurpose (our favorite word from the last few weeks) some of our best posts into a short report (no more than 5 or so pages) or presentation and share it with others who haven’t visited our blogs?  Here is a list of 4 document sharing sites that will allow you to post your short reports.

  • DocStoc supports the following formats: pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, pps, ppsx, rtf, and txt. They have an estimated 3,699,506 monthly visitors that will potentially read your new product.
  • SlideShare supports the following formats: pdf, ppt, pps, pptx, ppsx, pot, potx (Powerpoint); odp (OpenOffice); key, zip (Apple Keynote), doc, docx, rtf, xls (MSOffice); odt, ods(OpenOffice); Apple iWork Pages..  They have an estimated  56,856 monthly visitors that will potentially read your new product.
  • Issuu supports any PDF, PowerPoint or Word-document. They have an estimated 931,852 monthly visitors that will potentially read your new product.
  • Yudu supports any PDF, Word doc, Powerpoint ppt, Excel xls and their OpenOffice equivalents. They have an estimated 274,580 monthly visitors that will potentially read your new product.

I will post more document sharing sites in the Resources section…eventually :)
