A Letter From Geoff: Just Take Action

Here’s an email from Geoff Shaw that I received recently, and I thought that I’d share it with everyone… He just wants you to stop farting around and just take action! Perfection, over-thinking and worry isn’t necessary – just do what needs to be done!

People who aren’t even getting traffic are worrying about the FTC guidelines whereas others who are making a bundle of money from stuff that could be affected add a short message to the bottom of their websites and keep going full steam ahead.

One person is busy perfecting his articles, rewriting them again and again and another is making money from his articles with spelling mistakes and poor grammar.

One person has spent the last two days making changes to the header graphic at the top of his website and another is making a bundle from a site that has no images at all on it.

One person is worried what Google thinks about something he might be doing and another person is actually doing it and making money.

Here’s the thing…  Anything that can go wrong on the Internet is no big deal at all. Nothing is life threatening or for that matter even a big deal.

Just do stuff – if there’s a problem with something you’ve done…Who cares. Make changes and move on.

You can dump a big lump of clay down and people will buy it.

You can reshape it into a bowl and other people will buy it.

You might reshape it and no one wants to buy so you reshape it
again.

Sometimes no one will want it no matter what shape it is in so
you simply throw it away and get another lump.

That’s Internet Marketing.

Nothing Matters other than getting stuff online.

Every action causes a reaction even if it is only to spur you on to other actions.

You don’t have to get it right but you do have to get it going.

Over thinking is an obstacle for action and the only thing you can really do wrong online is not taking action.

Have a great weekend…
Either getting stuff done or relaxing

Farting around is a recipe for getting in the poo:-)
