Short Post: Influences

I like reading the blogs of Coaching and MasterClass students. I have one blog in my cool friends list to the right, and here is a post from her blog – Email Marketers (from Jacinta Dean’s blog). For one thing, I enjoy reading her accomplished tasks for the day.   But in this post she discusses the type of internet marketer she wants to be and she came to a conclusion after being exposed to emails from a number of internet marketers.

Imagine having such a negative influence on someone that they do not want to be like you!  And this is from not even knowing you, but simply reading a few emails from you or reading a few articles you have written or just buying a product you have created.  Then on the other hand, from just a few emails or other interactions, you can influence someone to model their business, decisions or even their life after you because you portray yourself in such a positive manner. We all have teachers, bosses and friends that influence us in a number of ways – let’s keep that in mind as we interact with others…

  2. Hi Gwen,

I just read your post about my post

I was so upset when I wrote that post. I couldn’t believe how many of the Guru marketers out there that are only trying to sell us and not give us content and actually teach.

I guess it is because they have made their millions and they have forgotten what it is like to be a newbie.

Sorting through those emails did help me decide the type of teacher I want to be.

Thank you so much for what your are saying. Knowing you are popping by and checking up on me is keeping me accountable.

    Kind Regards

    Jacinta :)

  3. Hi Jacinta,

I have it seems 15000 (yes fifteen thousand) emails in my account from internet marketers. I don’t just want to do a mass delete because I think I have some important stuff left in there, but I’m sure its mostly sales pitches. But the good stuff gets lost :(

I do enjoy your blog! And thanks for visiting.

    Gwen
