So, it snowed. I can’t really say I have many feelings about snow. When I saw the large (very large) snow flakes just now, I felt more of a cringe than excitement. Just thoughts of salt splattering on my car, large mounds of dirt being shovelled into once clean streets blackening everything, ice as thick as a mattress piled on the hood of my car. And my favorite from the last snow storm – my car getting stuck on an icey mound of snow – teetering like a see-saw as I wouldnt give up pressing on the accelerator, although all I was doing was spinning the wheels. Sigh.
Well, I will say that for me, it just didnt seem like the Christmas season at all. As I looked at my calendar on Sunday, I didnt realize Christmas was next week! There aren’t too many lights or decorations up – I guess times are so hard people just don’t have the resources (time or money) to spend on decorations. However, driving through the streets with this light dusting of snow – it did look a lot like Christmas! The few lights and decorations that ARE up looked a lot much brighter. Ok, so snow is great – at night, when I don’t have to be me mulling around in it
Although, I eagerly await moving down south where there is no snow! That’s not exactly true because I heard about the rare snow storm in LA – 8″!!!
