Short Post: Loving to Learn

I’ve found so many good blogs over the last week and I have been learning so much from them.  To me the best teachers are those who don’t even know they are teaching. To them they are just sharing their knowledge and their experience. They don’t call themselves “professors” and they don’t call themselves “gurus” and they don’t tout 3 or 4 degrees and they don’t ask you for $997 for the opportunity to hear them speak for an hour.

They just want to tell you something new they found out or explain to you something they learned how to do.

They are true, real-life, unexpected educators…

    Hi Gwen,

I completely agree on learning from other people. I have been having an absolute blast getting lost for hours over the last few weeks in my blogging travels, but i have learnt so much.

Today I learnt how to set up Google reader and subscribe to everyone’s feeds so I can be notified as soon as they make a blog post. Cool Tool.

    Enjoy the learning!

Thanks for stopping by Jacinta, I actually emailed you but I figured that I’d just say hi here as well. Hope you have fun time with Google Reader…

    Gwen,

I totally agree! I don’t think I will ever stop wanting to learn. I actually just finished blogging about that fact for the past few days. My collection of college mugs continues to grow, but I am just now discovering how much I can learn from others without sitting in the traditional college classroom.
For the Google Reader fans out there, you might also like Feedly. It takes all your Google Reader subscriptions and organizes them like a magazine – I just discovered this a few weeks ago and I find myself no longer ignoring all those subscriptions I have.

    Have fun!
    Jen :)

    Hi Jen,

Thanks for stopping by. Life is learning for sure :) Thanks for the tip, I am planning on making a video on how to use Google Reader, if I ever get time to even write a full blog post! I’ll be seeing you on your blog!

Almost everything I’ve learned since leaving formal education has been from blogs and forums and internet sites. You can’t reach the limit of what you can find out. I luv it the most!

Good luck, I hope you continue to find positive things to fill your head on your blogging journey :-)
