Do you have bad habits that you can predict? Something that you promise yourself you won’t do but you just know that you will do anyway? For example…procrastination. Every year many of us say “My resolution this year is to not procrastinate anymore”, like mine was a few years back for a few years in a row (I eventually gave up on that one). Well I bring that up because I have a bad habit and you can observe it here on my blog
My last two posts I talked about setting small goals towards to finish my ebook and to start updating my blog. I even stated 3 specific goals. Yeah, I did and I can see them right now just below this post. However, instead of accomplishing those small, simple tasks I decided to “redecorate” my blog. I made a new header and a new subscribe box and some other small changes. That’s nice and all, but I didn’t move forward in my goals at all. I did other things, got distracted and kind of danced around what I was really supposed to be doing. That’s my normal fashion and I’m here admitting this to all!
Sometimes we do get distracted from even the simplest of things, but you know what? It’s OK! If that happens to you, just make sure you get right back on track. In my case, I’m still in line with my goal of having these small tasks completed this week – and looking at this in a positive way, I have still done something positive by taking a step towards updating my blog. So its all RELATED to blog stuff, just not what I promised myself to do. Another positive way I can look at this is that had I not had a few blog goals to accomplish, there wouldn’t have been anything for me to avoid doing (i.e., procrastinate) on my blog and therefore I wouldn’t even have a new header LOL What happened was that I knew I had a few things to do, so I sat staring at the blog (procrastinating) and looking around for ‘what else’ could be fixed. Some good things come out of procrastination
Here’s a tip: I don’t procrastinate as much at work as I used to and here is why. I worked for a guy who worked hard and hired others who worked hard too. It was a small office (only about 3-4 of us). I can’t believe how hard these people worked – if they had something that needed to be done, they did it right then! That made me get my work done too because their stuff depended on mine and it would have been really obvious if I wasn’t doing anything
So if you surround yourself with people who are your opposite, sometimes good habits can rub off too!

Brilliant, Gwen. The only thing is that lovely photo is now at the bottom of the blog. Aww, shame. Nice look overall though. Well done.
Enjoy the journey.

Haha, yeah, I moved them down to the bottom until I can figure out where to put them. There was too much stuff at the top, but I’ll get them back up there soon
Thanks for stopping by!
