How To Get Ideas for Your First Ebook

So, you’ve decided to write and ebook, but you aren’t really sure what to write about.  You know you can sell it online (because everyone else is doing it), but…what will you write about?  Let’s talk about how you can get some ideas to create your very first ebook.

It’s really quite simple, just look in your own backyard. By that I mean take a second and look back over your life. I’m sure that you have learned a lot.

Think of all the things you went through and then overcame. Those same experiences that had such a negative impact on you can make you a very wealthy person. The same problems you encountered, others are going through right now. And they are looking for information that will help them to overcome those problems.  So draw some ideas from your own personal experiences.

Like they say, every person has a book inside of them. So don’t try to research Google looking for ideas. Write from your own personal experience. When you do that, it makes things much easier. For example, if you struggled with weight all your life and then you finally got to a place where you took control and got healthy, write about it. If you went through an abusive situation and made it out, write about it. Trust me when I say, when you write from personal experience, you will never have a problem coming up with good content.

Start off by making a list of 3-4 problems you overcame. Then do a search in Google for forums where people are asking questions about them.  Those questions are what you will want to answer in your ebook.

The key is to not search for the most “profitable” problem unless you have experienced it yourself. There is nothing like drawing from your own personal experiences to make a connection with your readers! Your hurt, anger, frustration can be felt in your writing and that connection is what will make your ebook a best seller.
