So what do I mean by the title? Well, a lot of things can get overwhelming – even something as simple as cleaning up your home. There are always so many choices and options these days – that you can easily get confused and frustrated.

Are you looking for a new car? So many models to choose from, with features that manufacturers convince you that you need – but you don’t even know what they are for.

Are you looking for a new computer? Besides choosing between a PC and a Mac, once you make THAT decision, then you have to choose which model. And if you opt for a PC, you have a bunch of different manufacturers to choose from as well as the models from each.

Do you simply want a new set of pots? Have you had a look at all the cookware options these days?

It seems like regardless of what you need or want, there are always so many decisions to make. And apparently it’s also an issue for cleaning supplies for your home. Have you taken a look in the cleaning aids aisle of your grocery store. Shelves and shelves things that scrub, dissolve, shine and disinfect. What is one to do?

I ran across an article on the Real Simple site that breaks down 22 items that you need to clean your home. This article lists the items and what they are used for in your cleaning chores. A simple article, on such a simple topic. But just focusing on what the needs are really help you to hone in on exactly what you need in a product – and avoid confusion and frustration of making spur of the moment decisions.

Here’s a tip: Before embarking on a purchase, sit down and write a list of exactly what your needs are (in relation to the product). It may take a little research, but it will help you when making your purchasing decisions. By have clear objectives you will be able to focus directly on what you need to purchase, and not get enticed by features you will never use.
